What's new

What has changed in Samla, newest first. Samla is built alongside the businesses that use it, so most of what is here began as something a dealer asked for.

Prices on the model page

A model's page now charts every dated price your firm holds for cars of that model: what brokers have offered them to you at, what you paid, what you asked, and what they made. Hover a point for the figure, the chassis and your photograph of the car; hovering lights the car's other prices too, so an offer, a purchase and a sale read as one story. Everything on the chart is also listed as a table underneath. Only your own records feed it, and prices in another currency are counted rather than converted.

Chats in the inbox

A WhatsApp export can be dropped into the inbox and read as a chat, pictures included, rather than as a pile of messages. Runs of a conversation can be filed against a car or a client, and a second export of the same chat lands in the same thread and fills in what the first lacked.

The offer book

Cars offered to you are a book of their own. Record an offer by pasting the message it came in, or by uploading a screenshot of it, and pick the model from the taxonomy; the words are read off a screenshot so the inbox can read the message. A car offered several times shows each offer, so a broker coming round again at lower money is plain to see.
